Introduction
Hi there beautiful people! In the next months we will be travelling across Europe and celebrate the endless summer and life itself.
Our destinaion is Spain, since we would like to learn Spanish, and the best method to get closer to a language and culture is to be on the spot. First we wanted to travel to South-America, but it seems like it would be better to go there when we already speak some Spanish. I have this Mercedes van and there is this Andalusia much closer than America where we've never been before, many people said it is the most beautiful spot on Earth, so we decided to go there first and do some volunteering on a permaculture farm.
We don't think it is a big deal to push the pedal and ride to a different country, thousands of people are doing that even in this moment. But it will be an extraordinary experience for us. I used to travel by bicycle a lot, I've seen Venice and Lake Garda many times as a child and later with friends by bike, but this will be the first time to go this far by a van. I will write about the vehicle in another post. I'll share that little space with an important person in my life, and this trip might serve as a road to each other before we settle down (if we don't get fucked up after being closed together in a metal box for three months and throw different artifacts at each others heads) and find our peace in this world.
The purpose of blogging about our trip is to share our stories with our friends, our family, and perhaps our excitement helps even other people to get out of the chair and look around on this beautiful planet. Traveling always opens a new perspective about the world, and through that it is an opportunity to look at ourselves with a different eye. Many people wrote about the relationship between the travelling and the soul, so that's enough for now from me. Enjoy the journey!
With love,
Laci
